Chrysler 300 Radio Antenna Cables

The 2005 Chrysler 300 with it's head-swivelling styling is a far cry from the "Beautiful Brute" 300 Chrysler of 50 years ago, but the writer Karl Ludvigsen would probably once again have been moved to apply those attributes to the 2005 Chrysler 300...

With its distinctive, powerful lines the 2005 Chrysler 300 exudes even more brute power than the "original" did five decades earlier. (Not that the older Chrysler didn't satisfy on the power front! With its 300 rated horsepower it did in fact clock the fastest Flying Mile at the time at 127.58 mph...)

Well, back to the future... The 2005 Chrysler 300, which also includes the Chrysler 300 Touring, Chrysler 300 Limited, and 2005 Chrysler 300 C, has no problem in carrying forward that proud history of yesteryear.

The basic 300 Chrysler comes with RWD or AWD, and a 2.7L V6 engine with a four-speed automatic transmission.

The Touring and Limited versions are powered by a 3.5L V6 with a four-speed automatic transmission.

Of course the mighty 2005 Chrysler 300 C - also with RWD or AWD - is where the real connection to that distant past lies... The new 5.7L HEMI V8 engine produces an exhilarating 340 horsepower, taking this magnificent car just that bit further into the realm of pure, thoroughbred power!

Horsepower consumes gas, and nowadays anyone in touch with reality will be looking for ways to balance the sheer pleasure of driving a powerful car, with the sensibility of conserving on the consumption side...

Well, this is where the technology incorporated in the 2005 Chrysler 300 C comes into its own. The 2005 Chrysler 300 is the first modern production car to flaunt an automatic cylinder deactivation system, which switches the engine from running on 8 cylinders to 4 at certain lower speeds. This little trick is claimed to conserve up to 20% of fuel.

And you won't even feel a thing... the switchover from V8 to V4 - and back - happens in a mere 40 milliseconds!

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is certainly an attention getter! Those interested in its distinctive looks (clearly visible in the many 2005 Chrysler 300 pictures around), and powerful but smooth driving experience - not to mention a very competitive price tag - aren't likely to run out of options when looking at used Chrysler 300 prices: many thousands more 2005 Chrysler 300 automobiles were produced than the meagre 1,725 that were built 50 years ago.

And of course there is always the 2006 Chrysler 300 and the 2007 Chrysler 300 to look out for...
